Example workflow: an installer works on the same project for several days. They need to clock in with few steps, while administration needs to review the project’s activity afterwards.
Choose the project
Last project retrieves the project from the most recent activity record. On the first day, or when the team moves elsewhere, the user searches for and selects the relevant project.
Record the activity
The screen requests the current location to record an entry or exit. Automatic saving prevents the form from remaining open indefinitely; the location is refreshed when returning from the background.
Review the period
The office filters by project, person and dates. Results are paginated, and activity for the selected period can be exported for review.

Before choosing VS.install.
What happens if a user has never clocked in before?
There is no last project to retrieve. The application explains that there is no previous activity and lets the user search for and select a project for their first record. There is no need to create a dummy record to get started.
Does the application continuously track the installer’s location?
No. Location is requested for the activity record; continuous tracking of movements is not offered. The phone must allow a valid location to be obtained. The screen requests it again on return and must not save a record using stale coordinates.
Can the office search a large activity history?
Yes. Searches are narrowed using filters and displayed in pages of 15 results. Searching by project requires a minimum search string. Administration is designed for computers and tablets, with explicit exports of the selected period.
